on 18 May 2021 in Events & Entertainment

With much anticipation, the local community has been eager to hear about the details of the 2021 Mount Isa Show. And alas, the show has been confirmed to take place this coming Friday 18 June and Saturday 19 June 2021. Acting as the first big event in the Mount Isa community, the 2021 Mount Isa Show promises great line ups and performers, with a need to live up to grand expectations of delivering a successful event granted the absence of last year.

With ample time the Mount Isa Show committee had to prepare, it almost comes as a certainty that an attendance to the Mount Isa Show this year will bring tonnes of fun, excitement, and great celebration to the local township.

What to do at the Mount Isa Show

The 2021 Mount Isa Show will showcase the pride and glories of Mount Isa. Displays and exhibitions will be featured as part of the prominence with competitions. From arts, culture and photography to woodworking and quilting, you can expect many fine pieces of work on display.

But that’s not all, the theme of the Mount Isa Show is to show the best of Mount Isa in all respects, which means touching into horticulture and cooking, with displays of massive vegetables and fruit and even cooking competitions being held. You will also find prized farm animals showcased here, as owners proudly bring along their magnificent animals, including goats, horses, dogs, and more.

The inspirational displays scattered throughout the show is overwhelming, giving insights into huge talent and many different walks of life in Mount Isa.

Live entertainment is played throughout the show, with Mount Isa’s best performers taking to the stage. Combine this with the wonderful sights and smells of local stalls selling homemade delicacies, carnival fare, and international delights, you can guarantee that your ears and belly will always be kept happy as long as you bring along some cash to spare.

Wander along the different market stalls and poke your head into offers by local small businesses. You never know what you will find. From locally handmade creations to edibles and other fascinating products and services, it’s always interesting to learn about the community’s involvement while supporting local.

Keeping the kids busy

With plenty of food, fun fare, kids activities, rides and games, there’s more than enough to keep to kids busy. They can always choose to rock out to some live music, hit a carnival game at the show in hopes to win a toy, binge their hearts away at the ice cream stand, or jump on one of the many amusement rides.

There’s also petting zoos and animal farms that will have the kids swooning over how adorable the little animals are. Don’t worry, the animal section isn’t restricted to just the kids, which means you can get your hands on some little cute fur babies too.

If you have a kid that is good at something and doesn’t mind a bit of competition, why not enter them into one of the competitions held at the 2021 Mount Isa Show. From LEGO building competitions to handwriting, artwork, sculpture creations, baking, cooking, and more, you could always find something to challenge your child in. Winning pieces are proudly displayed in the exhibitions of the show.

No matter how young or old you are, there’s always something for you here.

How much does the 2021 Mount Isa Show entry cost?

This year’s show is anticipated to cost $25 per person, there will be discounts for both kids and concession card holders. This is a $5 rise compared to the indicated fee of the 2020 Mount Isa Show (at $20), which didn’t happen.

Try your luck and win a car

A fun raffle is being run by the 2021 Mount Isa Show, where 2,000 tickets will be sold, and the winning prize is a 2020 Hyundai Kona Active (AWD) Automatic valued at $29,255.
